About

Hey all and welcome to the Weekly Rambler. My name is Charlie and I have Autism. The blog is going to be me rambling on about Lifestyle, Mysteries of the world and Politics (mostly election outcome analysis), hence the name! So stick around and read on. Thank you.

Who am I?!

I am a Male currently in my early 20s who has Autism (Selective Mutism) as well as Aspergers and a few other ailements. I am as average as they get I guess, although a bit less since I have never had a job, mostly becuase I am too afraid of one and all the direct social contact and also messing things up, I am super clumsy! But I am not the kind of person who likes sitting down all day in a room doing nothing, I hate it, it is depressing and just not who I am, so I thought, why not try out blogging?! And here I am. That is as simple as it gets.  My main purpose by doing this is to earn a full time liveable income, but to also have fun!

I have lots of future goals for this blog as well, such as one day selling my own branded merchandise and also one day… maybe even… start doing some podcasts, IF I can get the courage up to do such a thing.

What are my interests and aspirations?

Well! I have quite a few interests… I like Lego, I have a bunch of Lego models in my room. I also like Geography, specifically where countries are located and their capital cities. I like learning about histories and different cultures of the world. I am into politics, mostly election analysis, an extention to that is I like being up to date on the news and current world events. I also love Mario universe stuff! And watching Netflix, specifically action, fantasy, thriller, mystery etc. I also like watching Youtube videos and Twitch TV Livestreams in my spare time as well.

As you can tell from this blog I also have an interest in the unexplained, paranormal, cryptids and unsolved mysteries.

My aspirations included wanting to be a Veterinarian or just working with animals in general (I love animals! Especially doggos!!). Working as a journalist or news anchor. I am also interested in disease and medicine. All in all it is just a shame really that my Autism has prevented me from pursuing these things! But it is what it is. Maybe one day I will pursue something, I know it isn’t impossible.

What am I currently doing?

Right now I live in a house with my older sister, her dog called Bronson and my younger brother. In my spare time I often watch Netflix, play games, specially Ipad games as well as watch Youtube videos and Twitch Livestreams. I also do house chores such as washing up dishes/cutlery, hoovering, taking my sisters dog for walks and also weeding and cleaning the garden when needed.

Outside of that though I don’t do much else so with still having a lot of spare time most of the day I thought I’d also start up this blog to give me something to do and maybe even earn full time income from it one day. I have a long-term goal of one day moving into a place of my own!

  8. I made the blog name (The Weekly Rambler) sound kind of like a newspaper, mostly because I am interested in News and World Events. But no, this isn’t a website that hosts news… at least not yet (no current plans).
  9. I have three favourite months, October, November and December. For me this is when festive time starts. I love Halloween, Fireworks and Christmas!!! I also love the general atmosphere of these months.
  10. My least favourite month is September. I don’t know why but it always seems to be the boring block between summer and the start of my favourite months, so you have to wait for it to get through. Plus it was back to education time and when you were a kid, that was mostly boring.
