The Weekly Update #2 – TV Channel Post Structure Established, Running Successful Social Media Pages, Sailing and Angry Birds

Hello all. Well on Sunday we saw the first round of the French Presidential election take place and I decided to write a blogpost on that this week which was published yesterday. I have become more interested in French elections as we see increasingly threatening challenges from radical candidates such as Marine Le Pen.

The post looks into what happened in the first round, some of the things that proceeded it and why the outcome was what it was. I also talk about how France will likely continue seeing stronger challenges from radical candidates in future elections.

If you are interested you can read it here.

I may do other similar posts on other countries elections from time to time although it is unlikely to become a regular thing. It is to be reminded I am not an expert and I do it more as a little hobby.

I did this post in place of the Dark Items blogposts I had been doing as I already had the notes and structure for this down from Sunday and given it was relevant it seemed more fitting and was easier to work around the current blog post I am working on…

TV Channel Post Progress

The current blogpost I am working on to do with BBC One and Two, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5 is coming along well. I have the skeleton of each section filled out now and the next phase will be to flesh out each section to completion.

A release next week probably will not happen but I am generally aiming to have it up by the week after then, but I will keep readers updated through these continuing weekly update posts.

I have learned a lot myself while researching each channel and I really think it is content many other people will not really know about. I am hoping to consolidate a lot of this information into a nice digestible blogpost that will hopefully attract a lot of attention from UK readers as well as anyone else who is interested.

So, fingers crossed for getting this blogpost up by at least the 28th April if not earlier. After it is done I can resume working on my next Commonwealth blog post to do with the United Kingdom’s Royal Navy. You can read the three previous posts on the British Army and Royal Air Force here, here, and here.

Government System Posts Returning

As for Government System posts these should hopefully be back from next week with the next one on Mongolia’s Government System. It is to be reminded they are running in alphabetical order and so you can understand generally what order they come in next, different name usage perhaps sometimes causing confusion but…eh.

Running A Successful Social Media Page

I recently joined a social media group for a youth and young adult group that I am a part of which is letting their younger ‘members’ take part in how they should promote the organisation and what it has to offer through their existing social media.

As part of this I wrote up how I myself ran a successful Facebook Page for a few years before I had this blog. It is based on how it worked out for me, so it won’t be the same for everyone one, and was kind of a right time right place luck involved. But I also go over 12 points at the end which can be taken away from it that can apply to pretty much any kind of social media page.

I will perhaps post this to my blog here next week, possibly in place of the Government System post if I do not manage to finish that in time.

I actually very much enjoyed contributing my ideas to the social media group and I am looking forward to continue working with them. I have already taken up some work on writing a few of their social media posts for them. Don’t worry this won’t take any time away from blogging as social media posts are far, far simpler and shorter.

I think it may have been the first time I conducted myself quite well in a sort of business-like meeting and has given me quite a lot of confidence to continue doing so. I had far less of a blank brain like many times in such situations and managed to generally keep coming up with some valuable contributions – well I hope they were valuable anyway…

So, if you yourself are looking to start some kind of Facebook Page, bonus points if it is some kind of fan-run account for a game you play (as that is what my former Facebook Page was about), then keep your eyes open for that post as even if it does not go up next week, I will post it in the near future.

I am Going on my First Sailing Trip

Through the very same organisation I am also going on a sailing trip for the very first time. This will be a three-day trip that will likely be over a weekend and will be happening sometime in June. It is from my home town, to Ipswich and then back again.

I have been on a large passenger ferry before when going to The Netherlands on a leavers school trip for my primary school, but of course that’s very different to a sailing boat and it only took a day I believe to cross. I have also been on a smaller foot ferry about the size of a personal fishing boat but that was only a 5-minute trip.

So, this sailing trip will be the longest I would have spent at sea, which compared to some people who spend years at sea is nothing special really. It’s only three days and it should be a lot of fun.

It may also provide opportunity to pursue educational certificates in sailing as well, who knows, it may lead to a different career or job for me I never really even thought of.

As for the sailing trip I may perhaps write a blogpost about it when I get back. I’ll see.

Classic Angry Birds Re-released

Angry Birds has re-released its classic original Angry Birds game. I was so happy about this that I instantly bought and downloaded it as soon as I heard about it… and to be fair it costs basically nothing to get so I do not feel guilty about it. I have very much enjoyed wasting any spare time I have playing it… so far, the levels I have found most annoyingly difficult…

Poached Eggs Level 3-7…

How? I do know how… but how?

Mighty Hoax Level 4-9 and 4-17, and level 5-12.

Actually managed to complete this one the first time I retried while making this very blogpost.
This one looks easy but requires the correct arc and precise timing. So far I have not managed it… soon though. Once I do manage it, it shall be very satisfying.
I know how to get the first two using the first bird… getting the piggies at the back though? Harder. I know how it needs to be done, just again it requires very precise aiming.

Danger Above Level 6-13.

This one should be easy but it just… isn’t.

Currently still going through The Big Setup.

So yeah, nice time waster if you have nothing else to do. Angry Birds Friends and Angry Birds 2 are free if you really do not want to or cannot buy the game though.

Well, that’s about it. Have a good weekend.
