Forgetfulness, Remembering and Time + US Candidate Profiles Situation

My short-term memory can be a problem with certain things, remembering to do tasks and keeping in mind to check certain things can become a real pain a lot of the time. And it is often silly things as well, the two most common at the moment are forgetting to upload some blogposts on to Slideshare and forgetting to check an event on The Simpsons: Tapped Out, a game that I play on my Ipad, I’m pretty sure at this point I’m not going to manage to finish the event on time.

Doing things can be a problem if you forget what you were thinking of doing, which I do a lot of the time. I have noticed since really sticking to a blogging schedule that I have either became more forgetful on other things or I have simply recognized more clearly my existing forgetfulness. I do keep a Bullet Journal to keep track of my tasks from day to day but it is most often that I simply forget to write it up until it is too late and useless or I forget to check my Bullet Journal on what else I need to do on the day until there isn’t enough time left, this is despite it sitting right next to me on my desk open.

I aim to write two blogposts per day from Mon-Thurs and at least one small blogpost on Fridays. From Mon to Thurs most of my time is taken up so since I am distracted doing those things, I tend to forget about other things that may also need doing, such as hoovering and sweeping the floors. Outside of blogposting I am also easily distracted by things, such as my own imagination, thoughts and also my dog when I head down-stairs, I tend to waste an unnecessarily long amount of time on the little things I get distracted by which ends up leaving me less time for things that actually need my focus and also gives me a greater chance of forgetting things due to a distraction.

I am also struggling to currently find adequate time for other things I want to focus on such as the candidate profiles for example, the Labour ones are finished and ready to go, first one coming next week on Wednesday for Keir Starmer, but I am still only about half-way through the first US election candidate profile and time to get them done to where they will be useful is ticking away. I also need to find more time to write the novel I have ideas on which so far has been basically impossible to fit in, I have tried to focus on it during the weekends but a lot of the time on those days I find I have no energy to focus on things as I just want to chill and relax on Saturday’s and Sunday’s, I don’t want to feel over-worked on every single day of the week. Keep in mind that I need to fit in lots of time for research from books and other blogs that I read so that I can effectively plan out future blogposts.

Perhaps I just am not using up my time during the week correctly or I am not using the correct techniques to not forget a number of other things. But on the same day I am typing this blog post up and the same day I finished the post on Cameroon’s government I am hoping to also finish the Joe Biden candidate profile today as well. I am kind of hoping that once the candidate profiles are done that perhaps I will figure out ways to more easily fit on writing a novel and others things – such as learning some HTML5 and CSS, which I hope to learn to a degree in which it will become useful at times for my blogging website.

But I do not know how some people manage to remember to do so many things at once and how people can fit so much in without running out of time, it must be obviously stressful. I’m not sure if maybe two blogposts a day is too much or if I should reduce some days to just one blogpost so I can fit some other stuff in such as my novel.

Anyway, that is just some thoughts from me I am going right on to the Joe Biden Candidate profile right now and hopefully get it done. I am going to aim to do the Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders profiles as well as I believe they will be in the running for the longest. A profile on Amy Klobuchar (and… she’s out) and Michael Bloomberg is still in the air depending on how they perform – that being said there is the big Super Tuesday elections tomorrow (already passed when this is up) so we shall see if any of those drop out. Obviously, I am not doing one for Tulsi Gabbard as she has basically zero impact and she should probably drop out, the harsh truth and I am sure she knows but she is probably just doing it at this point to garner popularity for future runs.

Although I am writing up the US Candidate profiles I am considering scrapping them as I am starting to feel like it isn’t really my kind of thing to write about and that I am much better at just simply writing about government systems and elections rather than focusing on specific candidates, I feel like I am just not feeling it and it just isn’t my niche like the government system series is for example, I feel like I can provide more from that due to most people being able to easily find much more extensive candidate profiles on actual news websites, I feel like a blog isn’t really the place for full-on candidate profiles, I’ll try and continue them for a bit but I’m really not happy with them at the moment and they are very close to being scrapped. I can though like I have done before give quick analysis on candidates like I am in my Democrat Primary Tracker, but full on candidate profiles isn’t really my thing, I’m more of an analytics kind of person.

Paranormal, government systems, electoral systems and analytics monitoring and quick snappy analysis is more my thing. I may though completely re-do my profiles again but perhaps specifically focus on what the candidates are offering if they were to be elected rather than also writing up about their history – so we’ll just see what happens.
